How to Measure Your Feet for Asos Shoe Size?
To get your perfect fit, we recommend using a tape measure and the following steps.
Please remember that there are two kinds of Asos shoe widths:
Wide – This is used for shoes that are wider than average. For example, a size 14 is for men with wide feet. You may also use this for shoes with lower heels (for men only).
Standard – This type of Asos shoe is for those with normal or average-width feet. For example, a size 14 is the standard size for men with normal feet.
Step 1: Measure Your Foot Length
Place a ruler flat on the floor and stand on it. Make sure your heel is directly in line with the ruler’s base. The tip of your longest toe should just touch the ruler, as shown in the diagram below. Mark this measurement in centimeters to your big toe to get your foot length.
Step 2: Measure Your Foot Girth
Place your foot on a piece of paper and mark it around your foot, making sure both feet are facing straight forward with the heel and toes touching the paper. Use this measurement in the table below to find your size match.
Step 3: Check Your Asos Shoe Size
Your foot length measurement should be the same as your shoe size. If it isn’t, use the chart below to convert your foot length to the nearest shoe size. Take your girth measurement and use the table below to find your corresponding Asos shoe size. The same Asos shoe should be used for both of these measurements.
General Guidelines to Asos Shoe Sizing
For the best fit in your new shoes, we recommend you measure your feet and order the following sizes.
1. Width
Use the chart for Asos wide shoe widths, depending on the width of your feet. This can be a guide to get you started. If you are unsure which width to pick, try a half-size down.
2. Length
For length, we recommend you measure your feet and order your regular shoe size. If you have one foot that is longer than the other, we recommend ordering a half-size down on the longer foot to ensure both feet will fit in the same shoe. For example, if your right foot is 1/4″ longer than your left foot, try ordering a size 13 (US) instead of a size 13 1/2 (US). This will ensure both feet fit comfortably in the same pair of shoes.
3. Height
If you are unsure if your Asos shoe size will fit your feet, use the chart below to measure your foot and order the following sizes. Our size guide starts with a foot length of about 10cm (4″). If you know that you have longer or shorter feet, this is a great way to guess the right Asos shoe size!
FAQs
What if my Asos shoe size does not fit me?
If the shoes are too big, you can always use a shoe insert (for example, ASOS Soft & Comfortable Shoe Insoles) to add extra comfort and adjust the size to your feet. On the other hand, if the shoes are too small, you can always add an insole thinner than usual or even a piece of paper inside the shoe to stretch it and make it fit your feet.
Do I have to use my Asos shoe size chart?
As we mentioned above, you also have the option to convert your shoes from one system to another. The sizes are simply different. Asos uses a European system for the US, and the US uses a UK system. Therefore you can use either system or conversion table in this Asos shoe size chart listing. Please read our in-depth article on shoe sizing conversions here to get an accurate conversion between the two systems.
Am I the same size in Europe and the United States?
Almost everyone is the same size in Europe and the United States. However, if you need to convert your shoes, please use our conversion chart. If you can’t find your exact size on Asos, you can always go down a half size or up a half size, depending on how big or small feet you have.
Why does my foot feel too big for the shoes?
F the shoes are too big for your feet, the most common reason is that you are wearing socks that are too thick. This makes your feet feel much bigger than they are. We recommend wearing socks with a thin layer of fabric over your feet. You should also wear similarly-thick socks on both feet to ensure they will be the same size. If you have issues with your feet feeling too big, then you can always get the right Asos shoe size by using our guide above.
Asos Shoes for Wide Feet?
Yes, Asos offers a great selection of shoes for wide feet. You can scope out their wide shoe selection on the product page. Simply search for wide or extra wide, depending on the width of your feet.
